Instilling hope and building on strengths that reside in all families
The Family Strengthening Outreach Program uses a client centred, strength based approach to assist families who are experiencing stress or conflict to help develop new parenting strategies, an awareness of child and youth development, behaviour management and life coping skills that will assist them in reducing their stress and promote stability within the family.
Families are eligible for service if the family has children under 19 years of age and they reside in Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows.
The BC government has funded the Outreach Services to Children, Youth & Families since 1971. The Ministry of Children and Family Development currently provides funding for services within this program.
