Workshop Information: Deborah MacNamara is the author of the best-selling books: Rest, Play and Grow, Making Sense of Preschoolers. Deb’s new book, Nourished: Connection, Food and Caring for our Kids (and everyone we love) has recently been awarded the Nautilus Gold Award. She travels and speaks extensively to child and adolescent development issues in kids from babies to teens. She is on the Faculty at the Neufeld Institute and the Director of Kids Best Bet, a Counselling and Family Resource Centre.
She believes the connection between food and relationships has become separated from one another despite how they were meant to be intertwined. This presentation will weave together the pieces of the feeding and eating puzzle by drawing the fields of attachment science, neuroscience, developmental psychology and cultural tradition. Come relish and savor in a thought-provoking walk around our most basic human needs and nature’s answer to feeding our kids.
