Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Community Services is proud to announce the unveiling of a new mural at our Foundry Ridge Meadows location on Friday, February 18th 2022 at 12pm.
Foundry Ridge Meadows was selected by the BC Summer Games 2020 Legacy Fund committee to receive a grant of $18,000.00. This grant made it possible to launch a mural project with Rain Pierre, a highly regarded Artist from Katzie First Nation, known for his beautiful Indigenous creations and inspiring work with students from SD 42.
Youth 12- 24 were invited to submit artwork into art competition. The winner’s designs were incorporated into a collaborative mural with Rain Pierre that was unveiled Foundry Ridge Meadows on February 18th, 2022 .
Rain Pierre, the winning student artists, Foundry and Community Services staff, news media and members from The BC Summer Games were in attendance.
