Better At Home

The Better at Home Program provides non-medical support to seniors to enable them to live independently in their homes and community for as long as possible.

Funded by The Government of British Columbia

The Better at Home program assists isolated seniors in maintaining independence and enables them to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. The Better at Home program provides non-medical home supports including, transportation to medical appointments (local and long-distance), grocery shopping and delivery, friendly visits, light housekeeping and handyperson services to help maintain a safe and independent home environment.

Better at Home assists local seniors, primarily aged 65 years and older, with what they need most in supports in order to live as long as possible in the comfort of their own home and stay connected to their community.

“You help me feel reassured knowing about all the services that are available should I need them. It makes me feel less panicky and less stressed.”
